Incident

While on a flood rescue mission, Trooper McNeely and KSP Water Patrol Officer David Childs drowned after their boat was swept over the dam at Lock 4 in Frankfort. The two canoeist that they were searching for were later found safe. Trooper McNeely’s body was never found.
