Deputy Jacob Pickett

He was a sweet young man help me when I was with child and was passing out at work.This is so sad that had to happen to one of the nice one's

Jacobs grandmother lived across from my grandparents for at least over 20 years in eagledale. My family were the Snyder's. When Jacob would visit. We always rode bikes around the neighborhood. He was at every birthday celebration I had there. We lost touch as we grew older. He always had a big smile on his face. Never seen him without one. He was one of my very close friends. I only had a few over at my grandmother's. He was one. My prayers go out to his entire family, wife and children.

On behalf of the Pendleton Police Department please know we are praying for the family of Officer Pickett and his fellow co-workers.

May your family be blessed, And May you Patrol the heavens with are brother and sisters who gave there life in the line of Duty. God bless you Dept.

We are very sorry for your loss. He died a Hero!

A fathers pride, a mothers child. A heroes heart, hid by a smile. A spouse and child, left behind. A fallen friend, from a thin blue line. A call to serve, a way of life. A torch picked up, to sacrifice. A spirit passed, a legacy. A guardian, for those in need. R.I.P. Deputy Pickett 

Praying for the family and the force during this time!  Such a senseless act and life taken far too soon!  He will be remembered by the entire community and honored as a hero!

Jake was a good man and a wonderful Deputy! He will be greatly missed!! 

I worked with Jake at UPS during our college years. He was a great guy and kind to everyone. I'm heartbroken by the news of him, but proud to see the Hero he became! Thank you Jake for your service, you will be greatly missed. My prayers are with his family.
