Incident
As officers from Lebanon Police Department attempted to serve an arrest warrant at a residence around 9:30 A.M., they observed a suspect known to them nearby who had outstanding warrants. As they approached, the subject fled in a vehicle with two others.
After a short chase, two suspects fled on foot. As Deputy Pickett chased after one, shots were fired and he suffered fatal injuries.
The Sheriff announced just before 4:00 P.M. that Deputy Pickett would not survive and that his organs are being harvested.
