Jeff stopped into my shop many times and was always a polite individual and a fine example of the dedicated Gary Police Department Officers. I will miss his smile and may he rest in peace.

I'm saddened to hear about the loss of this officer. It is truly a horrible day for all when we lose a brother or sister of the badge. We give our lives freely to protect, service and save. You never think that what you love will be what ends your life. By the hands of some monster. I pray that your family and friends are comforted by knowing God has a special place in heaven for those who protect others. Thank you for your service.

As a spouse of a midnight turn officer, this is part of my sleepless night. Although we did not personally know you sir, everyone relates to a loss like this. All of you family is in our prayers. Pray for clarity, peace, and justice. I'm so very sorry for your loss and so thankful that people like this man put themselves out there daily to protect the public only to have the public turn on them.
