Heroes do not have to wear capes, have x-ray vision or fly. A hero could be a dedicated person who goes out into the darkness to serve and protect. We salute you Office Jeff Westerfield for being a hero. God sent you here on July 6th and called you home again on July 6th forty-seven years later. Rest in Peace.

I worked Charley sector back on the 90's when the job was still fun. I remember when I put a low battery smoke detector in his squad car so it would chirp every 30 seconds and drive him crazy. What I didn't know is that he just got his K9 partner back and he almost took my arm off, those were good times back then. I'll always remember the the stuff we got into on the west side in Charley sector, great memory's indeed!
