Words simply cannot express how I feel after reading all of these tributes. More than anyone, I know what an amazing man my dear husband was. But seeing it put into words by others means so much. For years to come, things like this will bring deep comfort to my children and me. He will always be with us until we are with him again for eternity. Thank you again. I love you forever Lt. Drake.

I never met Richard Drake here on earth but look forward to meeting him in Heaven one day. From the tributes posted that I have read, he was a tremendoulsy loved person. He will be truly missed. My prayers are for the wife and family that he leaves behind. I know that God can and will give his wife the strength to carry on; she has a much bigger responsibility now that she now must take on the charge of the children by herself. I have two nephews that are fire fighters and know what a loss it would be for us if we were to loose one of them. God bless the family and keep the faith as they remember this wodnerful person who has been called home to be with the Lord.

There are no words that can really express the extreme loss felt by your passing. You will be missed by all and I pray that God's presence will help your family and friends through the days ahead without you. I know you will watch over your family and your brothers and sisters that share your passion to help others.

Rick~

You are an amazing father, husband, firefighter, and friend. I dont know if I quite have the words yet to express how much you affected my life. You were always there for me when I needed to talk or needed advice. You are a very wise man and I hope and pray that Evan turns out to be a wonderful man like you. We miss you deeply. Evan keeps asking were you are, all I can tell him is you are looking down on him from heaven. I know if you were here you would tell me what to say to him. I truly admire you and look up to you. Im still at a loss and Im not sure where to turn right now. Please look over everyone and keep them safe, I pray Christy and the kids, and anyone else who is greatly affected. I miss you and I know Evan misses you. Thank you for a wonderful friendship, and thank you for letting me be part of your life.
