There are not enough good words to say about Cpl. Drake. He would have done anything for anyone. I know that he is right where he deserves to be and is in no pain. This even was very unexpected, and took us all by surprise, but for him, because it is what he would have wanted us to do, we will go on, and continue to be good to others the way he would want us to be. My sympathy goes out to all of the Drake family, the Department, and your Family will miss you Cpl. Drake.

Some people come into our lives and they go, some come in and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same. May you rest in God's hands.

Rick, you will be missed dearly on future scenes with GTVFD. I always enjoyed working with you and all the guys when I responded with you on EMS 1 or 5. I especially will miss and always remember all the assistance and smiles that helped on whatever the call was. I think I always smile and laugh about the one run in the winter that the road was covered in ice, and Tabitha and I could not get across the road without "some help" ha ha. We both still remember that and laugh. Your honor and dedication to EMS, Fire, Family, Faith, and Friends, will never be forgotten. I am privileged to say that I had the opportunity to work with you for a while and joke about our "cycle of 3 runs" in German Township. I know that you will be greatly missed by your family and friends. I pray for your family and children. I will continue to help your "brothers" when I respond to the call. We will cross paths again someday.

Christy and children - My prayers are with you. Know that you have the support of your community. I hope you like the Memorial Tribute Video that my wife Cassie produced. We do the videos for Barkes, Weaver and Glick Funeral Home. I hope you continue to find strength in your faith in God and with all the support you're receiving from people you know and those who don't know you personally but appreciate Rick's service.
