I have fond memories of Craig from the time he was a little boy until his death in 1994. Our families were next door neighbors for 23 years. I helped his parents plan his funeral mass. I think of him and his mom and dad who have also passed so often. We celebrated many good times together through the years. I choose to remember how he lived, not how he died.
HEY YOU WILL BE MISSED BY ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY
YOU WILL BE MISSED
I was Craig's friend. He always showed me kindness. I remember vividly, riding with him in that big red truck during many Crusade for Children weekends. I also remember looking his dad, the Chief, in the eye at the funeral as I said my goodbye. Craig's Tree is still behind station 1. I have nothing but contempt for the selfish person who started the fire that took him from his friends and family. I wish Craig knew what an impact he had on me as a young man, and in my career choice. God bless Craig and the Drury family. He was a hero, and he was my friend. ~An Eagle Scout-Troop 461
