Trooper McCoun was accidentally shot and killed by a Pike County constable at the Pike County Jailer’s Office around 3:00 p.m. Trooper McCoun had just handed a revolver back to the constable when the constable, who assumed Trooper McCoun had unloaded the pistol, pulled the trigger. The constable was charged with Reckless Homicide.
