Incident

Firefighter Levy, who was assigned to Company 10 Hose Reel, was severely injured as a result of a collision between Company 10 Hose Reel and Engine #4 at Illinois and Governor Streets. He was taken to Deaconess Hospital where he later died. Firefighter Richard Knoll also died in the accident and two other firefighters were injured as they were responding to a fire in a two-story grocery and residence.
