Incident

While fighting a fire in the A.B. Aloe building at 415 Broadway, Firefighter Hines suffered severe injuries following a collapse. He died at his home several weeks later. The collapse also killed Firefighters Nimrod Kerley and James Roddy as well as Captain John Stanton. It also injured six other firefighters. Firefighter Hines was assigned to #3 Truck.
