Incident
While working on the third floor at a fire in the Christian Brothers College, a wall collapsed killing Firefighter Young of Truck 19. The collapse also took the lives of Lieutenant Henry Budde of Engine 43, and Firefighters William Kuhnert, August Sturmfels, and John Parshall as well as Lieutenant Michael Waters, all of Truck 19. Three civilians also died in the fire.
