As a fellow Chicagoan, it is so heartbreaking to know someone served on the dangerous city streets for 28 years, and on retirement came to this quiet rural town. Only to be shot and killed by a local troubled man. Thank you for serving us all so well in our hometown and adopted home.
Thank you for all you did for our community. You came in as a stranger and quickly came one of our friends. The care you show people in your work shows your true heart and you had a heart of gold. Thank you for your service and blessing us with your presence and protection.
Thank you for your service, sir. Rest in peace. Forever a hero.
