Uncle Randy, it has been almost 4 years since you left us. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Now my Daddy has left to be with you. You both were always inseparable as brothers as well as police officers. Now you are together again in heaven. Although I miss you both and my heart aches without you both so much; I find peace in knowing there is no pain or suffering and only happiness and eternal life. I love you both, and I will see you again someday. Love always, Tina

To the family and friends of Chief Randy Lacy: I did not know him but I can understand the depth of your grief. Please know that you are not alone. He was family to everyone that ever put on a uniform and we all have heavy hearts when one of our own istaken away from us.You have more people behind you than you will ever know.Just reach out your hand and someone will be there to hold on to. I will keep you in my heart and my thoughts and I will grieve with you.

May God comfort and care for Chief Lacy's family, friends, and co-workers and all those who risk their lives for their community and country. The Lord needed another fine officer for His Heavenly patrol and called one of the best to join Him. May Chief Lacy never be forgotten.

Uncle Randy you would never have believed how respected you were. The men and women in uniform mourn with us and the state of KY suddenly seems small-- the outpouring of love has made us one community in grief. Eric from Supporting Heros quietly kept things in order. You would have been proud as the flags waved and the officers stood watch over you. We were touched by your bigger than life presence and the gentleness of your heart. We will celebrate your life and mourn your death forever. We love you and you will never be forgotten.

I still cannot believe how senseless this was. In a split second we lost a hero. Another example of the dangers all people in law enforcementface every single day. What a terrible loss for us all. My prayers are with his family and friends. Heaven shines a little brighter now. With love,Renee Louisville, Kentucky
