Firefighter Steven Eric Vanderpool Jr.

Forever in my heart,and always in my thought's.

I have cam here many times as i have your gravesite.

I never no what to say, but maybe in heaven God will let us have a fire engine.

Eric you came to the dept while we were going through some tough times,you really lit a fire under alot of us and made us step up . you were a great firefighter and a even better friend.You will be dearly missed

You always here of dedicated fire fighters but Eric was one of the most dedicated fire fightersI have seen in my 14 years in the fire service. He was always willing to do what ever it took to to help around the station or on the fire ground. I can say this because he was the closest freind I had for over 2 years he was always willing to lend a helping hand to any of his freindsorthedepartmentno matter how long it took or what time it was. We have lost a big part of not only our department but our family also. Thanks to him our department grew leaps and bounds over the past two years. Eric is a hero and always will be we are all sadden by the loss of our brother firefighter you would not find a more dedicated volunteer than eric. he spent many hours at the station cleaning the trucks and doing whatever needed to be done to help the department. I am so honored to have a brother firefighter and a friend like eric. you will be missed and never forgotten.Rest in peace

Thanks Eric for your 2 years of service to the West Liberty Vol. Fire Dept. Your Firefighter family will always remember you, the good times we had, and all the hard work you put into becoming the best Firefighter you could be. West Liberty and Morgan County has lost a true Volunteer Hero.

Eric thank you for your service to your community. My throughts and prayers are with the family and your fellow firefighters in Morgan County.
