Greg its been 5 years and we still miss you so much. You always brought a smile to the firehouse. They say time heals all wounds but I'm not so sure. You are thought of here every day 2308.

I worked with Greg at Rotary Lift in the early nineties when he was just out of high school and working as summer help. Greg was a very nice young man a good worker too. He seemed to be polite and had a good head on his shoulders for such a young man. Greg didn't make it to the end of the summer due to mishap with a forklift that resulted in a broken arm. I didn't see him for several more years until one night at a bowling alley a tall man approached me and started talking away. It turned out it was Greg. I didn't recognize him but he did me. He was the same polite person I had known years earlier but had just changed in looks. When I learned of his death I was very saddened. I did not realize that Greg had joined the fire service at the time. Such a tragic end for such a nice caring man. It does not seem like almost four years now. Thank you for your service and may you rest in peace.

I was just searching on the Internet, and just for fun, I "googled" my name, and I found this. I searched more and read the stories of what happened, and how this man was and how he was loved. I did not know him and never met him at all. But after reading all that I did, I can say that I am very proud to share the same name of a man so great, and so brave. To the Cloud family there, know that the Cloud family here in Texas hold you in their thoughts and prayers.

It was truly my honor to escort Mindy, and her dear friends at the NFFF memorial in Emmitsburg. Since our meeting, I pray daily that God will fill the void left by Greg's passing, and that his brothers and sisters in the fire service, continue to be-there for Mindy.
