Paramedic Gerald B. “Garry” Hammer

I worked with Garry in the early 70's as a medic - we taught EMT courses around the NE Indiana area in during the early 70's - Garry was a great medic and a great person - he touched many, many lives during the 39 years he worked in EMS. He will be missed.

God of the selfless,God of the strong and the brave,grant a perfect rest among the souls of the righteous, To Gerald Garry Hammer who died in service to others.May his dedication to protecting life serve as a shining lamp of love and the works of his hands bring us all merit in heaven.Bless the soul of Gerald and all who have died to save others.Gerald answered the call of honor, duty and service, may his memories be sanctified with joy and love, may his soul be bound up in the bond of life,A living blessing in our midst, Amen

Garry and Gary Heiman were my first preceptors when I started at Lagrange. So much experience and knowledge to benefit from! But I will always be most grateful to Garry for being my mentor so I could get my instructor credentials. Without him, I would not have been able to teach... With utmost professional respect, to a man who dedicated his life to emergencies of all types- you will be missed, Garry.

Gary always had a smile. Always helpful & kind you will be missed Gary .RIP..

Some people come into our lives and they go, some come in, leave footprints on our hearts and we are changed forever. Go with God Garry Hammer and may you rest in peace.

You were a great mentor and friend. I so enjoyed working with you on Ems and on the dog team. Your love of teaching was inspiring. Your love of dogs and the K9 work was something I'm so proud to have been able to give back to you. Rest in peace Garry. Your K9 partner Aeros and your K9 team will miss you dearly. Keep helping us search for lost souls in heaven.

"Pops" was an inspirational co-worker and friend. He will be missed by so many!
