When I think of a hero, firefighters that die in the line of duty come to my mind. They risk their lives for strangers. They do it selflessly, not for attention or anything like that, but to save lives and property of others. He will always be remembered. He died a hero.
Dear Family,
It is during tragedies that it is certainly normal to ask why. I do not pretend to be able to know Gods plans. It is beyond my finite paygrade to understand the infinite Creator. I do want to say that each day at the hospital was a witness to miracles in ways too numerous to detail here. In the 58 days at the hospital, Pooh touched so many people in so many ways we cannot fully know the extent of that influence. We witnessed close to eighty different departments (paid, volunteer, combination, union) from three states (4 if you include the FDNY) come together is such an awesome way, with one mission in mind, to serve and give comfort to the family and thereby honor Pooh. Pooh is a hero and an inspiration to many, many people. May God bless and keep his family.
ALL GAVE SOME ONE GAVE ALL No greater love then this, than one lay down his life for someone else.
