Officer Ellis, I am so very sorry this happened to you. You, your family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that justice is served quickly for this horrible and senseless crime. Thank you for your years on the force serving and protecting all of us citizens here in Bardstown, Ky. You did not deserve this and your wife and children did not deserve it. I met you a few times throughout the years of my employment and I thank you for being so nice to me. You are greatly missed. Rest easy, Officer because I know your fellow officers will not give up until they bring the coward(s) that took your life to justice.

Though I did not know Jason personally, the fact that he served with a badge is good enough for me. The badge represents courage, integrity and service to the community of Bardstown, KY, all of which I am sure encompasses Jason's overall character and professionalism. May he rest in peace in the loving arms of Jesus Christ for all eternity. May God in his loving grace, each day empower Jason's family to heal their many broken hearts!

No words that I could possibly express could take the sorrow that the Ellis family is experiencing right now, but I am praying for this precious family and the men and women that carry on their duties in Bardstown. May you find rest in The Lord.
