We all know our brother Deputy Rakes has now reached his rewards, therefore we weep not for him , but for his family and dept. may God wrap each one of you up in his arms and comfort you in the way that only he can. I lost my father on August 28th in a shooting in his driveway while he was going to the mailbox. He was a retired Police Chief, Sheriff, Deputy Sheriff, & court baliff for 55 years. He had arrested the assassin numerous times, the last being 10 years ago. My mother, overcome with grief died 5 days later. My 15 year old son witnessed all the aftermath of the murder. Our hearts go out to the Rakes family and the Marion County Sheriff's office and Lebanon Police Department on your loss. Trust in God to get you through it and take one day at a time. We are still so devastated with our loss and are going through counseling.We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I cannot say enough great things about Supporting Heroes. They were truly angels from Heaven. God Bless You all. Jeff Proffitt, Morgan & Grayson
