Senior Trooper James Patrick Bartram

Pat and Mike were young high school boys working at making a difference in their lives when I met them. They decided to take up martial arts where my father, Ellwood "Woody" Gelenius, also a LODD, but with IFD. Pat was so sincere and kind. As mentioned by another, everyone was Pat's friend. A humble and quiet guy, but focused. I was saddened to hear of his passing and amazed at the outpouring of love when attending his funeral. Having been on the other side of such an event, it was incredible to stand in line and listen to the stories from people waiting to view his flag draped coffin. I can't imagine Pat being anything other than a guiding light for many. God speed

It seems like yesterday that we shared our lives and family with you, It seems like yesterday that you were called home to our Heavenly Fathers' loving arms. I miss your sincere love and friendship you showed us. You treated everyone like they were your best friend. Doug and I were honored to name our son Eyan Patrick after you and he truly is a special boy. So loving, kind, and a peacemaker. He reminds me of the goodness and Christ like attributes I saw in you. I have no doubt that you met him in heaven before he was born and that you told him to be good to his parents. Thank you for being our friend. We love and miss you Pat!
