Chad you are truely missed. You made your parents & family very proud of what you did. Now You have joined others in the family. I know you are watching down over us from above. One day we will meet again on that silver cloud above.

My brother David and I lost our dad in 1947 as a result of the bakery fire in Sullivan. The similarity between Chad and our dad is striking. Both collapsed in the fire station. Both were dead on arrival at the Sullivan hospital. Both left behind a young family (My brother and I were 5 and 4). Both were in their 30's when they died. Both were well-liked. Both were dedicated to helping others. My brother and I both offer our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Chad Lee Null, especially to Chad's wife and his two small children. I had the pleasure of meeting Chad on several occasions. He was a fine young man and a great husband and father. His service to his community will never be forgotten and will always be appreciated. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. God Bless.

Chad, his wife, and I went to Vincennes U. in '98-'99. Then in 2002, Chad and I went through the ILEA Class 02-150 together when he was at Sullivan PD and I was at Bloomington PD. We met our first year at VU in one of several law enforcement classes we were in together. He was Conservation LE and I was a LE major. Chad always had a smile on his face and was so passionate about fire fighting. My thoughts an prayers go out to his family and the Sullivan Fire Dept. God bless you Chad, and thank you for your service to the citizens of Sullivan as a Police Officer and Fire Fighter. You will be sadly missed brother. Sometimes there is JUSTICE, sometimes there is JUST US! ILEA 02-150 OOHRAAH!!

Chad- Today as I sit at my desk I think of you. The Null, Emley and the city of Sullivan lay to rest a true hero and a great man. You truley are a hero and I righteously am greatful to call you a friend. It truley burdens my heart thinking of you and what you meant to your own family and to your family of Sullivan. You served galantly as a Police Officer, a Fire Fighter and a Paramedic. What a great accomplishment. Many people dream of doing 1 of these carrer fields, and you distinguishly served in all three. As few people do, you believed in your carrer fields as more than a job. You unknowingly changed many many lives. A person like you is unreplaceable. You have sent us all a message. Never take life for granted and continue to love all like its your last day. Cause one day will be our day. Rest in peace hero.

Casey (Aunt Bruno)-So many questions unanswered. The only thing I can say is we as Americans can only wish we could be as half as what Chad was. Enjoy life to the fullest and become someone great. I hope some day you find the peace of mind you are not alone. Take every day one step at a time and remain the great mother I know you are.

Grace and Gabe- I know 100% your father loved you. He became a hero for you. Everything your father did was to bring you both happiness. Your father had many twinkles in his eyes, 1 for his career, 1 for your mom and the biggest one was for you both. A man who loved what he did as a professional he loved nothing more than to come home and see is children.
