Terry spent the majority of his life in the service of his community. He loved the fire service and was always willing to jump in to help others as long as I have known him. Thanks to his family for sharing him with us. May he rest in peace.

Major "Terry" Cannon

I remember the first time I met Terry. Shortly after I started with Ten Broeck Hospital. He was there to do our annual inspection. I remember the over head page summoning me to the lobby. There he was, a laid back man. I handed him my business card and shook his hand. I wasn't sure what I was in for. Terry reassured me he wasn't going to make it a terrible day.

From day on we had found common ground outside of our jobs. Knowing the same people and interests. Most of all a person that let you know when was serious by saying "dude" Terry always brought calm to any situation.

When introducing him to others, everyone commented what a super nice guy.

Terry Cannon you are too cool ....

My sincere condolences to all the men and women of the Buechel Fire Protection District and the family of Major Cannon. I did not know Terry well, but did have the pleasure of working with him through his fire investigation duties with the Fire Marshal's Office. He was a true professional and was always willing to assist no matter the time of day. Major Cannon was well respected, not only in this region but throughout the state.
