Incident
Sergeant Whobrey and two other officers stopped two suspects in a vehicle and as the vehicle was approached he was shot and killed. The two suspects were killed as the two other officers returned fire.

The Indianapolis Police Department has been disbanded and absorbed by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
