Incident
While Captain Hendricks tried to calm a quarrel between two men in a saloon, the saloon owner intervened. Captain Hendricks and the saloon owner exchanged gunfire with both men being shot. Captain Hendricks died of his injuries. The saloon owner survived.
Captain Hendricks was a former chief of the Dept.
