Firefighter Biedron died while fighting a fire in the five-acre George C. Meyer and Company Warehouse. His body was lost amongst the rubble for six days as crews worked continuously until he was found.
Ironically, his father Fred Biedron Sr. also died in the line of duty nearly 24 years earlier when his son Fred Jr. was 10 years old.
