Firefighter Stinson had just returned from an ambulance run. He and members of his Dept had transported a patient from a nursing facility to the hospital. The response and transport occurred over approximately 1-2 hours.
Firefighter Stinson was completing paperwork associated with the incident when he suffered a heart attack. Another firefighter heard a noise and went into the other room to investigate. Firefighter Stinson was found on the floor. Medical care, including the use of an AED, was started immediately, and he was transported to the hospital.
Firefighter Stinson remained on life support until his death on June 7, 2002.

Terry was my son's (Steven Hoffman) best friend. He was older than him and would give him great advice and guidance. To this day he cherish's the time they spent together. Steven always called him "T". After he passed Steven got a tattoo of an angel flying over a gravestone with his unit number on it, there is also a fireman's cross above the angel. I will forever be grateful that he was such a wonderful role model to him. We will never forget him.
