Incident
While responding to an alarm, Lieutenant Stanley was was killed when he was thrown from the apparatus that he was riding on when it was struck by another vehicle. The accident injured five other firefighters.
Two boys later admitted to turning in four false alarms that night as a Halloween prank, which led to the accident and the death of Lieutenant Stanley.
