Firefighter Princell was putting on his turnout coat on Engine 23 as it responded to a car fire. While doing so, he fell from the back of the engine at 27th and Annette Streets. After falling, he got back onto the engine and proceeded to make the response. However, he later collapsed and was transported to Methodist Hospital where he died of a head injury six days later.
