Incident

John Duffy returned to the fire station after fighting a fire at Rudd Manufacturing. After getting off the truck and talking with other fire fighters he slumped to the floor. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful he was rushed to the hospital where he pronounced dead.

Lt. Duffy is the son of Barney Duffy Superintendent of the Salvage Corps and father of Engineer Elmer Duffy assigned to Engine 18.
