Incident
Chief Osborn and members of his department responded to a medical emergency at approximately 8:00 p.m. that required manually lifting a large patient.
A few hours later, his wife found him in cardiac arrest and immediately initiated CPR. Emergency assistance was called, and he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Chief Osborn also served as a reserve deputy with the Vigo County Sheriff's Office.
