Firefighter/Paramedic Hoffman was stabbed multiple times by a female patient he was treating during transport to a medical facility during what was described as a routine medical call. The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. (Central).
The assailant was taken into custody without incident and charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, third-degree assault and resisting arrest.
