Paramedic Nuckols was working a 24-hour shift and had responded to multiple emergency calls earlier in the day. Just before 8:00 p.m., his partner found him unresponsive while sitting in a chair. She initiated CPR and called for assistance. Advanced care was rendered, and he was transported to the hospital a block away, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Larry was leading the responding EMS ambulance crew on Mother's last trip to hospital before her death a few days later. He was wonderfully efficient and caring and even came back to hospital later to check on her. I've also seen his loving care of his two precious granddaughters. He was just so special, and he will be missed.
