He taught me lessons I still carry with me every day, both in firefighting and in life. When I transitioned from military service, Ralph was one of my biggest supporters, Every time we met, Ralph greeted me with genuine warmth and interest, always asking how life was going and sharing his own stories with a big heart and a bigger smile. He was the kind of person who made you feel valued, no matter what. Ralph Meyer was a great man—a firefighter’s firefighter—and his legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the lessons he imparted. May his memory inspire us all to live with the same generosity, dedication, and kindness that he did. Rest in peace, Ralph. You will never be forgotten.
