Flight Nurse Bethany Aicken

Air Evac 133 (based in Williamsburg, Kentucky) crashed as they prepared to land to pick-up a patient in Owenton, Kentucky. The crash occurred just before 6:00 p.m. near a landing zone often used by local EMS units to transfer patients to air medical for long distance urgent transport. The site was just off of Kentucky Highway 22 south of Owen County High School.

Flight Nurse Aicken perished in the crash along with EMS Pilot Gale "Butch" Alleman and Flight Paramedic James Welsh.
