Officer Brent Lee Hall

While working off-duty at Kart Country in Shepherdsville, Officer Hall was alerted that a group of juveniles were breaking into vending machines elsewhere on the property. Having been notified of a crime in progress, Officer Hall immediately notified dispatch, ran to the location, and confronted the suspects. A short time after arriving there, Officer Hall suffered a fatal heart attack.

Although Officer Hall was working off-duty, his response to the report of a crime in progress was in his capacity as a police officer. And it was that physically stressful/strenuous line-of-duty activity that led to his heart attack.
