Firefighter Roy Franklin Whitt

Following the line-of-duty death of Elliott County EMS EMT Ronald "Drake" Adams, first responders from the area gathered to provide an escort for EMT Adams to the funeral home.

While on the way to stage for the escort, Firefighter Whitt's fire apparatus slipped off the roadway and rolled over a cliff. Firefighter Whitt suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
