Trooper Smith was struck and killed while deploying stop sticks to stop a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Ronald Reagan Parkway just north of Interstate-70.
The adult driver of the suspect vehicle and his two passengers, one adult and one juvenile, were also injured and transported. The driver was charged with Murder.
