Incident

While preparing to tow a vehicle that had been left from a previous accident, Officer Cottongim was struck by a vehicle that hydroplaned. After multiple surgeries over ten hours, he succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred on Interstate 64 near Mellwood Avenue.
