Officer Blaize Madrid-Evans

Officer Madrid-Evans graduated from the police academy only two months earlier and was riding with a field training officer when he responded to a call for service. Upon arrival, the officers were met with gunfire and Officer Madrid-Evans was critically wounded. His partner returned fire and fatally wounded the suspect.

Officer Madrid-Evans was transported to a nearby hospital when he succumbed to his wounds several hours later. He was 22 years old.
