Officer Blaize Madrid-Evans

Officer Madrid-Evans graduated from the police academy only two months earlier and was riding with a field training officer when he responded to a call for service. Upon their arrival, the officers were met with gunfire and Officer Madrid-Evans was critically wounded. His partner returned fire and fatally wounded the suspect.

Officer Madrid-Evans was transported to a nearby hospital when he succumbed to his wounds several hours later.

In his final heroic act, Officer Blaize Madrid-Evans donated his organs, including a kidney to Springfield, Missouri Police Officer Mark Priebe. Officer Priebe was had been severely injured in the line of duty in 2020.
