Incident
Deputy Miller was shot as he approached a father and son who were walking. Despite being mortally wounded, he was able to return fire wounding the father. Deputy Miller was taken to a Hazard Hospital where he later died.
Deputy Miller, who had received his commission as a deputy only three weeks earlier, had a felony warrant on the son.
