Incident
Lieutenant Lasco and a sergeant were attacked and stabbed by an inmate at approximately 2:40 p.m. Sunday. The sergeant suffered serious injuries.
The inmate was sentenced to 130 years in prison after being convicted of three murders in 2004. The incident occurred in a common area of the maximum-security Indiana State Prison located in Michigan City.
