Incident

Constable Gambrel was attempting to serve papers to the owner of a general store in Flat Lick. As he opened the door of the store, the owner shot him in the chest with a shotgun, killing him.

Several years earlier, Constable Gambrel had been severely wounded after being shot in the line of duty. His condition deteriorated and he was pronounced dead. A casket was ordered and funeral plans were being made when Constable Gambrel came back to life and made a full recovery.
