Incident
As he approached a vehicle that he had just pulled over for speeding, Deputy Allen was shot by the vehicles' occupants. He was transported to Memorial Hospital in Mingo County, West Virginia where he died the following day.
The two men who shot Deputy Allen were arrested a short time later.
