While traveling home from work in his official agency vehicle, Chief Neidenberg happened upon a motor vehicle crash that had just occurred – involving an overturned vehicle and injuries.
After clearing the scene and traveling home, Chief Neidenberg suffered an apparent heart attack. He was found dead in his driveway still inside the vehicle.
