Incident
Officer Snyder and another officer responded to a report of a disturbance just after 5:00 A.M. (Central). As soon as Officer Snyder exited his vehicle, a suspect began to walk toward him. As he approached, it is believed that Officer Snyder ordered him to show his hands. As the suspect brought his hands in front he opened fire with a pistol. The other officer returned fire and critically wounded the suspect. Officer Snyder was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died of his injuries.
