Incident
Firefighter Delaney was the driver of Truck Company #3 that was responding to an alarm. As the truck passed along Seventh Street near Christy Avenue, it struck a pothole and Firefighter Delaney was thrown from his seat. The wheels of the truck then ran over him and he died at the scene.
Firefighter Thomas Delaney was also known as Thomas Kidney.
