Incident

Firefighter O'Donnell, a member of Engine Company #25, was seriously injured after he was knocked down while attempting to stop a team of runaway horses. After he was knocked down, a horse stepped on his head and then the wheel of the wagon ran over his body. He died approximately two weeks following the accident.

His wife Bridget had died only three months earlier.
