While responding to a reported fire, Firefighter Ofenstein fell from the hose wagon that he was driving and was run over by the rear wheels. He was taken to a nearby doctor’s office where he died. The accident occurred at Hodiamont and Bartmer Avenues. Firefighter Ofenstein was assigned to Engine Company 48.
