Incident
While driving the hose reel from Engine House #7 Driver Miller was thrown from his seat as the horses jerked the cart from the street car tracks. The wheels ran over his abdomen and chest causing severe injuries. He was taken to a nearby drug store then taken by ambulance to his home where died.
